World Tourism Organization in Chisinau: Officials plant trees as portrayal of Moldovan tourism development (PHOTO)

Premiere in Moldova. Representatives of almost 40 countries have met in Chisinau at one of the most important event in the tourism field. The meeting of the World Tourism Organization began today, June 5th. Officials have planted trees in the central park at their first meeting. 

The trees represent the development of Moldovan tourism.

The Chief of EU Delegation in Chisinau, Pirkka Tapiola, is convinced that tourism can contribute to the growth of the economy.

Publika.MD recalls that the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, Taleb Rifai, met with Prime Minister Pavel Filip.  The officials discussed unlocking of tourism potential in Moldova.
