Moldova doesn't have a clear perspective of integration with the EU and the reasons are the wars of the political class, in the instability period. The declaration was made by Vlad Plahotniuc, the President of PDM, within an interview for Deschide.md. The President of the Democrats said that our country should achieve the minimal standards of an European country, without political scandal and only then we can ask for the integration process.
"The thing that we have a clear integration perspective in EU targets different aspects of the one you mentioned. First of all, it targets the political class, because we could have developed more, if we weren't in a permanent political war. I am sorry for the citizens that they have been assisting all these political wars.
If we concentrate on the stability of the country, then we should learn from the past mistakes, the justifies reproaches of the people. I think that the past two years showed a considerable change of the way we act now, without political scandals. The whole political class is responsible of the political instability of the last years. Also, the reason why we don't have a clear perspective of integration with the EU targets the Union's expansion strategy.
In reality, we should make the all possible for Moldova to achieve the minimal standards of the EU member countries. Then, we should ask for the integration process to begin. Thus, we should start with ourselves", declared Vlad Plahotniuc.
