High-ranking officials and the leader of the ruling party went to the polling stations and exercised their right to vote.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu, and Democrat leader Vlad Plahotniuc said they voted for political stability and the continuation of reforms aimed at well-being.
PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc accompanied by his older son Timofei, voted at the 10th constituency of Chisinau Center District. The Democrat leader appealed to all citizens to vote for the order and discipline brought to the institutions in the country, through the promoted economic policies, actions that allowed higher state budget of 15 billion lei more than the previous governments.
"The Democratic Party, with this money, managed to raise wages and pensions, build good roads across the country, launch the First House project for young people, increase indemnities, increase childbirth allowance to 10 thousands lei, offer each child 200 lei/month up to age of 18, offer free medicines, support pensioners 600 lei for Christmas and more", said Vlad Plahotniuc after leaving the polling station.
PDM chairman appealed to all citizens to vote for the continued stability and development of the country.
"I urge everyone to vote and vote for the three roses, for the only party that can further ensure political stability in the country and economic development, voted the Democratic Party and PDM candidates in constituencies," Vlad Plahotniuc said.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip and his wife exercised their right at a polling station in the Buiucani district of Chisinau.
"I voted for PDM team who demonstrated the fact that they're capable of governing a country and we achieved good results in short period. I believe in the future of the Republic of Moldova, I am not afraid of the future of this country because we have a wise people which can make the difference between words and actions," Pavel Filip pointed out.
The official also mentioned the elections organized on the basis of the mixed voting system. Pavel Filip said the new procedure is a simple one.
"The new voting procedure was a simple one, it did not take more time as many people said, I'm sure the citizens will be able to handle it," said Pavel Filip.
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu said he voted for good reforms and projects, such as "First House", "Good Roads".
"I voted for the Democratic Party of Moldova and PDM candidates on constituencies. I urge all citizens to cast your vote. Our future is placed in your hands. We hope to work as much as possible. We hope to have a parliamentary majority and we will have a government to ensure the stability in the country and to develop Moldova", said Andrian Candu.
