Two Romanians aged 35 and 53 are criminally probed for attempting to smuggle 74,000 cigarettes through the Chisinau airport.
The cigarettes are meant to be sold in the EU as the income is assessed at about 15,000 euros.
The two ones were bound to fly to Munich. The cigarettes were detected by the Customs Service’s dog named Mark.
The suspects have been held up for 72 hours and may be sentenced from 3 to 10 years of jail.
