Representatives of mediators and observers in Transdniestrian settlement process within the "5+2" negotiation format have been informed on Monday that the Tiraspol administration gave up the institution unilateral alleged decrees on January 25 which concerned local public authorities and locals in Varnița, Anenii Noi.
This decision was taken following the Chisinau administration's effort and continual dialogues with mediators and observers in Transdniestrian settlement process within the "5+2" negotiation format as well as with representatives of Tiraspol administration.
Previously the so-called Tiraspol separatist leader, Vadim Krasnoselski signed a alleged decree stating that Varniţa village, from Anenii Noi district, is temporarily under the control of the Republic of Moldova, and administration functions are exercised by alleged local structures in the Proteagailovca village.
Then Prime Minister Pavel Philip asked the Foreign Ministry to notify the mediators and observers in the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict.
The Foreign Ministry addressed representatives of the OSCE, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union and the United States to address this issue in the 5 + 2 negotiations format and at the Vienna OSCE Permanent Council meeting.
Varnita had belonged to Bender until Nistru conflict in 1992. Now it is part of the Anenii Noi district.
