Independent Candidate running for Chisinau Mayor, Silvia Radu and Socialist Ion Ceban will most likely reach the second round of local elections. A survey made by Centre for Sociological Research from Moldova reveals that the two candidates will receive enough votes in the first round.
Nearly 32% of the questioned people, favored Silvia Radu, while 31% declared that they will vote for socialist Ion Ceban.
Sociologists claim that Silvia Radu has all the chances to win the elections, because she is an independent candidate.
"Many people have not yet decided who they will vote for. Half of the people who did not chose their candidate yet will vote for Silvia Radu, while the rest for other parties" president of Centre for Sociological Research from Moldova, Sergiu Raevschi, explained.
The two candidates are followed by Andrei Năstase, candidate of PPDA-PAS, with 16%. The list is completed by National Unity Party candidate, Ruslan Codreanu, with 8%. While candidate of Șor Party, Reghina Apostolova and candidate of Liberal Party, Valeriu Munteanu, managed to gather only a bit over 4%.
