Four security officers with the Bercut-Grup will be officially charged with ill treatment and causing intentional bodily injuries.
According to the data, while responding to an alarm signal on May 17, 2016, at a parking lot near the National Hotel on Stefan Cel Mare Boulevard in Chisinau, the security guards severely beat a driver who allegedly had parked his car without paying the parking fee.
The agents have sprayed the man in the face with tear gas, kicked him with legs and police batons across different parts of the body.
The victim was diagnosed with a closed cranio-cerebral trauma, fractures of the ribs and nasal and metacarpal bones, right arm bruises, and other trauma.
According to prosecutors, the victim did not resist and did not commit any illegal actions at the time of the detention, so the violent behavior by the security agencies was illegal.
If found guilty, the four security guards risk up to eight years in prison.
