The use of renewable energy has increased in Moldova. A study shows that in 2015, our country has reduced the natural gas consumption by nearly 12 percent after the blue flame was replaced by biomass.
Experts claim that this figure can be doubled, especially because we have potential, our the fields are full of agricultural wastes. The process has no special equipment for waste collection.
The thousands of tons of agricultural waste could reduce about 24 percent of final energy consumption of our country.
Experts say that, for this, local authorities must get more involved.
Another problem that hinders development of the field is the lack of funding, say producers. Until the authorities will find the money, they urge producers to join together in associations to be easier to develop and upgrade their business.
