The Moldovan archers Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mîrca have become European champions at mixed double. At the final from Nottingham, Olaru and Mîrca defeated the French pair Berengere Schunh - Jean Valladont by a devastating 6-0.
Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mîrca had yet modest playing at individual contests.
Olaru was ousted in the final eighths, as Mîrca was defeated in the sixteenths. So, both Moldovans have not yet managed to qualify for the Olympics from la Rio de Janeiro.
However, the Moldovan archers will still have the opportunity to take the qualification at the world contest to be held in June 12-19 in Turkey.
