Prime Minister Pavel Filip has requested authorities to start preparing for the cold season. Chief of the Cabinet of Minister urged institutions to start preparing the necessary equipment to avoid any road blockage due to snow and so that people will be able to move without issue and in safety.
"Minister of Internal Affairs, General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations make sure you have on stand by the machines, heating devices, tents and all comfort needed when temperatures drop lower then average" Pavel Filip said.
Prime Minister has also mentioned that last winter's lessons must be learned, while such situations avoided. At the beginning of the year, Moldova was hit by a strong blizzard, causing multiple roads in the south to be blocked. At the same time, multiple regions remained for a few days without electricity.
