A second chance to life. A Moldovan man has been given a new kidney 19 years after he had got the first transplant when he was 19.
However, he’s body was not compatible with the kidney he had got and the dialysis sessions restarted 5 years later.
The number of Moldovans getting organ transplants doubled last year, comparatively with 2015. 22 people got new kidneys and 9 – new livers.
28 transplants of cornea were operated, too.
44 transplantations are planned for this year, as all the expenses are covered by the medical insurance.
