Personnel management tabled by Romanian - Moldovan Defense Ministries

Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Ministry of Defense have assess the human resource management and military education policies.

According to the Head of the Human Resources Development and Military Education Policy Directorate, Colonel Alexandru Roman, during the activity in Chisinau on May 22-24, the participants discuss the modalities of switching from the military service to the military service by contract, the implementation in the Romanian Army of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security, experiences and examples of good practices, the implementation of Information Systems for Human Resources Evidence and Management, the optimization of the educational process, the continuous education process as well as the language training system of the staff.

The source specified that the parties also analyze the issues and paths in the development and implementation of the Military Career Guidance, the process of selecting military personnel for international studies / courses and missions, and the military assessment methodology.

At the official roundtable launch event, the State Secretary for Human Resource Development, Military Studies and Resource Planning Vladimir Iliev mentioned the Ministry of Defense's interest in taking over the best practices and advanced experience of EU and NATO member countries in the field of human resources management and military education policies and thanked Romania for the continued support offered to our country in this respect.

State Secretary Iliev added that this activity will contribute to the professional reform initiated by the defense institution of the Republic of Moldova, which means a better prepared army with professional soldiers and modern equipment.

During his stay in Chisinau, the Romanian delegation visited the Military Academy of the Armed Forces "Alexandru cel Bun" and donated a set of textbooks and teaching material to the military students, master students and doctoral students of the institution.
