Prime Minister, Pavel Filip has congratulated Dafina Gercheva, appointed UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for the Republic of Moldova on occasion of United Nations Day, mentioning that it an important day for the international community and Republic of Moldova.
"I wish to express my gratitude toward UNDP Resident Representative and UN experts that are part of the UN family in Republic of Moldova, for everything they have done for our country throughout those years" stated the message, signed by Pavel Filip.
The official, has also accentuated UN's valuable assistance and expertise the Republic of Moldova continues to benefit from, by promoting strategies and programs meant to develop various domains.
" This assistance is welcomed for promoting democratic reforms and modernizing the country, whose main aim is to economic growth and better living conditions for all citizens" wrote the message.
United Nations was founded on October 24, 1945, by 51 countries that took upon themselves to maintain peace and international security, by developing co-operation and promoting social development, of better living standards and human rights.
