Over 1 500 kg of pork and 189 kg of smoked meat, without certificates of origin, were confiscated by financial fraud investigators of the Center sector. Specialists from the Department of Veterinary Expertise have taken multiple actions to catch economic agents transporting and selling produce in the Central Market.
On site, law enforcement established that both economic agents and people working for them were transporting the pork in unfit conditions. They were also not able to present all the necessary documents, proving the origin and quality of the meat, as well as document permitting this activity.
Officers begun a verbal process where fines amounting to 22 500 lei were issued.
