OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger will visit the Republic of Moldova on September 17 and 19 for discussions with senior officials in Moldova and the political leadership in Tiraspol.
During his visit to Moldova as Secretary General of the OSCE, Greminger will focus on advancing the Transdniestrian settlement process according to the principles agreed by all 57 states participating in the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan in December 2018.
Also, Greminger will discuss the role that the OSCE can play in ensuring the transparency of the process of withdrawal and destruction of Russian munitions and weapons, and in coordinating the financial and technical assistance offered to facilitate their withdrawal and destruction. At the same time, the OSCE Secretary General will discuss the potential areas for OSCE involvement in supporting the reform agenda of the Republic of Moldova.
