Nitrates and salmonella that’s what specialists from the Food Safety Agency (ANSA) discovered in scores of lots of produce, before going for sale in Moldovan markets.
The checkups took place in September.
The experts found nitrates in 26 lots of legumes. The samples were taken both on fields and in warehouses. If ANSA concludes they are bad for people’s health, the vegetables will be destroyed.
ANSA also found salmonella in Turkey meat imported from Hungary, and banned it to be sold.
