The Moldovan Government has endorsed a set of rules providing for safety and health conditions at work for pregnant women and mothers with babies, or breast-feeding women.
The bill provides that the employers assess any risk for such employees and will undertake measures to remove them, if any.
The women won’t be made work in risky conditions, neither be exposed to chemicals or radiation. They won’t have to work at night, nor will they be exposed to extreme temperatures or fatigue.
The employers are also obliged to inform such women of any possible risk implied by their jobs.
The Government’s decision is valid as from January 1, 2017.
