A 21-year-old woman has been detained for recruiting peers on social media and sending them to provide sexual services in Cyprus.
The woman from the northern district of Sangerei was helped by other people in recruiting women aged 20-30.
She was a part of a criminal gang who paid for the recruited girls’ passports and plane tickets and was caught red-handed in the Chisinau airport, as she accompanied a 25-year-old woman.
She told the police she had been receiving by EUR2,000 per woman sent to Northern Cyprus for prostitution from her accomplices there.
Now she faces a jail term of up to 7 years.
