Moldovan Prime Minister assures EU Venice Commission's opinions will be carefully heeded in passing law on electoral system

Being in Brussels, Premier Pavel Filip broached the reform of the electoral system and assured the European partners the opinions of the Venice Commission concerning the bill will be carefully taken into account. 

He has made the statement at joint news conference with the Neighborhood Commissioner Johannes Hahn.

"We thank the Venice Commission for its recommendations as to the change of the electoral system: we’ll keep in touch. We continue wide debates on the issue and we’ll invite all the political parties and the NGOs concerned. We want to find solutions agreeing with the opinion of the Venice Commission," the Prime Minister stated.
