Moldindconbank has achieved good results in the first half of this year, having managed to consolidate its market share, increase assets, deposit volume, loan portfolio and improve its quality. All these achievements are the result of the team's work, achieved despite the pandemic crisis.
The dynamic development of Moldindconbank was also a challenge for the new Board of Directors of the Bank, which took up its duties in November last year. Of the seven members of the Board of Directors of Moldindconbank, six are well-known experts with extensive experience in large international companies, including well-known European banks.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moldindconbank was appointed Herbert Stepic, who is known internationally as the architect of the Western banking transition in the region. Herbert Stepic has worked for more than 40 years in Raiffeisen Banking Group in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Bosnia and Herzegovina and 9 other countries. From 2001 to 2013, he served as CEO of Raiffeisen Bank International AG and was the driving force behind its development as one of the leading banking groups in Central and Eastern Europe.
Headed by Herbert Stepic, Moldindconbank managed to increase its equity in the first half of the year by MDL 172 million to the amount of MDL 3.4 billion, becoming the leader in the rating of financial stability of Moldovan banks.
In addition, when the business environment and ordinary citizens faced many problems due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bank once again confirmed that it is a reliable partner for its customers, continuing to offer loans for business and personal needs. As of the end of June, Moldindconbank's loan portfolio increased to MDL 7.8 billion. At the same time, the share of problem loans decreased by MDL 148 million.
Recall that in March 2019, one of the largest companies in Bulgaria, «Доверие-Инвест", acquired 63.89% of the shares of Moldindconbank. Later, the European investor increased its participation in the Bank's capital to 77.63%.
