Mimi Castle returns to life. See when it opens doors

After almost a century, the Mimi Castle from Bulboaca village, Anenii Noi district, returns to live. The compound will be opened to the public on September 17.

The wine castle was built by Constantin Mimi, the last governor of Basarabia (Moldova’s name under Tsarist Russia.) Thecomplex belongs to a family, who started to refurbish it in 2010.

Opening the castle will be accompanied by a live concert, as Mashna Vremeni, Alternosfera, Moldovan National Youth Orchestra and Brio Sonores will be performing.

Moreover the Moldovan singers Vali Boghean, Aura and Vitalie Dani will also get on the stage.

Top officials will attend the ceremony, as the visitors will be able to book excursions around the compound.

The hosts will arrange wine tasting halls, restaurants and terraces.

The Mimi Castle is a unique destination in Moldova, being among the top 15 architectural masterpieces related to wine.
