Chronological Center of Border Police has been staffed with skilled and fast police dogs.
The dogs, which will stay at the border guard, were offered by Latvia's cynologists. The new collaborators will also be equipped with special devices, which will help them catch the offenders on hot spots.
The two police dogs were donated by the Latvian Interior Ministry as part of a project initiated in 2005.
"After a brief training period, they will guard at the green border of Moldova", Border Police chief Fredolin Lecari said.
"I am glad to know the project brings in good results. We also appreciate the preparation of Moldovan cynologists constitutes these success," said Chief of Latvia's Chinological Service, Uldis Barkans.
Currently, the Border Police has over 80 trained dogs
