Krasnoselski wants to remove the term "Transnistria": I recommend to call it "Pridnestrovie"

The Tiraspol leader doesn't want the region on the left bank of the Dniester to be called "Transnistria" and proposes to be named "Pridnestrovie".

Vadim Krasnoselki insists that the term "Pridnestrovie" should also be used by states and organizations involved in the conflict process in the region.

The Tiraspol leader made statements in this regard during talks with representatives of the so-called government on the left bank of the Dniester River. Krasnoselski believes that the term "Transnistria" was used by the Romanian administration during the Second World War and symbolizes the "Romanian-fascist" occupation.

Asked by our television, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic said that during the negotiations, all documents on the platform OSCE, just use the phrase "Transnistrian conflict" and that the name "Transnistria" formula is internationally accepted.
