In a Skype interview for Zeppelin Investigations, Russian businessman Gherman Gorbunțov accused fugitive Renato Usatîi for paying killer Vitalie Proca to make false claims, as well as other details.
According to Zeppelin, the assassin was detained in Scotland Yard. The victim having declared that he does not believe any word Proca said. Gorbunțov and his lawyers claimed that both Proca and Usatîi are lying.
We wish to remind that Gorbuntov's declarations came after Jurnal TV, which belongs to criminal Ţopa and financed by Renato Usatîi, has broadcast an interview where killer Proca blamed PD leader, Vlad Plahotniuc. Moreover, prosecutors demanded for a while a criminal file where multiple people were investigated for attempting to bribe Proca and make him provide similar claims as those given to Jurnal TV, money that according to the evidence and information came from Renato Usatîi, who was a defendant in Gorbuntov's assassination attempt. Renato Usatîi's aim was to use a scapegoat and lay all the blame for the murder attempt on another person.
One of the reasons why Proca decided to give false statements could also be the fact that multiple relatives of his were arrested or are investigated, after it was discovered that they took money from Usatii in his name, for him to provide false declarations.
At Publika TV's request, spokesman of the Democratic Party, Vitalie Gâmurari declared that the party will not comment upon false statements.
"The President of Democratic Party will not comment upon false statements, made by a person condemned in Romania for a crime. It is not the first time someone attempts to do such a thing, it is obviously done on someone's demand. I can only say that we are working with a group of lawyers upon this institutions and will analyse everything tied to the legal activity in Romania and Moldova, as a result of this show we saw, coming from a member state of the European Union, from which many questions arise from the point of view of justice, the rest- politics and other such things- we do not wish to comment."
