General managers of educational institutions will be trained during August 22-26 to improve skills, knowledge and manager capacity, informs Moldpres.
According to the Ministry of Education, 20 trainers follow a training course under "Education Reform in Moldova" and by the end of this year will form an updated training program, at least 30% of managerial staff at district schools.
The Deputy Head of the Directorate secondary education Ministry of Education, Mariana Goraş specified that "the purpose of the training program is to enhance the quality of education, help managers apply in practice the standards of professional competence of the teaching management of gemeral educational institutions."
For his part, trainer Iurie Melinte said that "school managers will organize self organization and human resources availability, identify strengths and weaknesses, develop an action plan to address the problems. At the same time, they will have to manage budgets in accordance with the priorities of the institution and the principles of autonomy, and initiate partnerships with the community to identify extra budgetary sources" , said Melinte.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the academic year 2015-2016 in primary and general education institutions 29,600 teachers have developed educational activities and the number of managerial staff amounted to 3,500 people.
