Former president of the Republic of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, celebrated his birthday on May 25. The PCRM leader turned 78 years.
Vladimir Voronin was born in Corjova village on the left bank of the Nistru and started to work in the bakery domain. The Communist Party member of the URSS, Voronin was designated Ministry of the Internal Affairs in 1989.
He relaunched as a politician in 1993 in the top of the Communist Party of Moldova.
Vladimir Voronin became the state president on April 4, 2001 and had two consecutive mandates, until 2009.
