First day of Spring is met with Yellow Warning for Snow and Cold Weather. Lowest temperatures registered in Moldova

Despite it being the first day of spring, the cold weather continues to cover Europe, including Republic of Moldova.

Last night, temperature in the country dropped as low as -18 degrees Celsius, while in Soroca it felt like -37 degrees Celsius.

The strong wind caused the snow to cover many highways. Therefore, drivers are urged to be cautious on the road and be properly equipped for winter.

PUBLIKA.MD reminds that Yellow Warning for snow and cold weather remains in force to March 2, when temperatures in the country will be as low as to -20 degrees Celsius, while the wind will pick up to over 70 km/h.
