The European Commission decided to reduce the unsaturated fatty acids by 2021 in all the country members. In this context, the Republic of Moldova should accept all the rules of the EU, declared Stela Bradu for Publika.MD.
"The EU Regulation obliges all the country members to reduce the amount of unsaturated fatty acids as much as possible. After approving this draft law, the products exported from Moldova will pass a check up", said Stela Bradu, hygiene doctor within the National Agency for Public Health.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that because of the artificial fats, over 50 thousand people die yearly in the EU.
Trans fatty acids cause cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer and Alzheimer's.
