Cabinet of Ministers has approved for the Government to sign an Agreement with EU, according to which Moldova will be provided with 100 million euro as macro-financial assistance. Minister of Finance, Octavian Armaşu and Governor of Central Bank, Sergiu Cioclea, have the power to ratify the document. According to Finance chief, the first tranche will be provided at the beginning of 2018.
"We have already begun implementing actions, we are piratically ready to receive the first tranche and believe we could request an evaluation at the beginning of next year. We intend to take all actions and complete all terms, the Government is determined" Minister Octavian Armaşu said.
The macro-financial assistance program for our country foresees 40 million euro as grant and 60 as loan. It will be offered in 2018, under three equal tranches, depending on how well the 28 conditions imposed by EU are respected. They foresees fighting against corruption, energy and financial reforms and improving the business environment.
