Chiril Gaburici and representatives of the sports federations discussed with the leadership of the local public authority Stăuceni about the design and construction of the first modern arena in the country - Arena Chisinau.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure asked the mayor of Stăuceni, Valentin Sâtnic, to involve and support the implementation of the project, which will create jobs in the locality.
The Minister has documented the preparation of the LPA for initiating the Chisinau Arena, including the necessary permits, the division of the land, obtaining the urbanism certificate and others. Also, there were discussed the possible challenges that could arise in the process of preparing and designing the polyvalent arena, and the actions that APL Stăuceni is to undertake in the near future.
"It is very important to have an Action Plan and to establish the concrete steps so that we can successfully start the construction of the arena. Arena Chisinau is a national project that will contribute to the development of sports performances and the promotion of the image of Moldova, "Minister of Economy and Infrastructure stressed.
In this context, Chiril Gaburici presented the project of the multi-purpose arena, which will have a separate area for training and small events, Aqua Park, Spa and Fitness, Olympic swimming pool, open tennis tents, public catering areas, parking area, access and necessary infrastructure.
According to the minister, the land of almost 70 ha, located in Stăuceni commune, passes from the public domain to the private domain of the state. Within the public private partnership, the state will contribute 202 million lei, and the private partner will develop the arena project and will bear the construction and management expenses.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure urged the representatives of the sports federations present at the meeting to come up with recommendations and proposals so that the multifaceted arena provides them with all the necessary conditions for the development of sports performances.
