Scores of owners of cars registered abroad have queued today at the Chisinau Customs Office to record their cars in Moldova. The drivers say they want to benefit from the 70-per-cent cut for this kind of registration.
But, first the drivers have to erase the registration of car in the foreign country.
They also have to produce a certificate confirming they paid the tax road. If everything if ok, the drivers may even get new number plates.
“The number plates cost 480 lei and 320 lei – the registration certificate," specifies the chief of the respective department of the Registru state registration enterprise, Sergiu Ţurcanu.
The cut is valid till April 2017.
