Customs Service, Food Safety Agency undertake measures to prevent swine fever from entering Moldova

Following Prime Minister Pavel Filip’s instructions, the Customs Service and the Food Safety Agency (ANSA) have got together to work out leverage aimed at preventing swine fever entering Moldova from Ukraine.

More and more virus hotbeds have been detected lately in Ukraine in areas close to the Moldovan border. 

Customs chief Vitalie Vrabie has stated his service’s capacity to detect the infected meat products, which represent severe dangers for the public health and may incur huge economic losses.

The two agencies call on travelers to obey the legal requests of their employees meant to prevent possible perils for people’s health.
