Contraband meat hidden in car's floor by citizen of Moldova

A resident of Ocnița tried to bring in Moldova 136 kg of pork salami and sausages that might be infected with African swine fever virus.

The goods were hidden in the car's  floor.

The meat was seized and handed to the National Food Safety Agency, while the driver received a 4.500 lei fine.

The National Food Safety Agency and Customs Service advice citizens against purchasing and importing meat that could be infected by the African swine fever virus, in order to avoid spreading it.
