Ciprian Porumbescu High School receives donation from Andrian Candu (PHOTO)

The students of the music high school "Ciprian Porumbescu" in Chisinau will perform in a renovated hall, which wasn't repaired for 54 years already.

 The donation of a thousand lei was made by the Parliament President Andrian Candu. The money was collected at a charity concert organized with the Royal House of Romania last year. 

Those who spend a good part of lessons in this room say that the renovation of the hall will allow them to achieve better results.

Today, February 16th, the high school was visited by the President of Parliament and the Ministry of Culture that they have handed over the money collected. But the amount will not cover all expenditures on thus Andrian Candu said he will try to attract other investments.

"I will have discussions with colleagues from the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Construction and Regional Development to see what are the possibilities to reallocate budget even by some amounts that were provided for construction completion in Parliament" , said Speaker Andrian Candu.

"Our people, talented people are the biggest treasure of ours. Talent must evolve in good condition and will. The Ministry of Culture will join this wonderful initiative" , said Culture Minister Monica Babuc.

Adrian Candu has received a gift from one of schoolgirls high school. Caterina Caraman, the 7-year-old pianist, who received a piano from the Vlad Plahotniuc's Foundation "Edelweiss".

During the visit, Adrian Candu also said that the students of this school will be invited to the opening and closing sessions of the Parliamentary where they will perform the state anthem. Also annually, the best students of this school will receive scholarships from the President of Parliament.
