Chisinau municipality intends to rehabilitate the Rose Valley park, starting with lighting installation, the pavement repairs and cycle tracks arrangement. Walkers will be able to enjoy the strolls in the evening.
Since the openness in 1970, the Rose Valley park has not been renovated. Now 5.5 kilometers of pavement will be repaired, 300 lighting columns will be installed and 4 kilometers of bicycle tracks will be built.
"The use of high performance lighting columns ensures the optimization of electricity consumption," said Igor Ionel, designer.
Lack the cycle tracks endangers both pedestrians and riders, moreover, people are scared of walking in the park at the nighttime due to lighting problems.
The rehabilitation works will cost the municipality 13.7 million lei.
"The works do not extend indefinitely, the term is clearly set in the agreement with the responsible company. Furthermore, the contract is not paid until the works executed", said the Interim Mayor of Chisinau, Silvia Radu.
