Residents of the capital will not skid on the sidewalks in winter, because the municipality will use a new type of non-skid solution.
Authorities say the non-skid solution is used widely in the European Union and is more expensive than salt, however, is more effective.
In total, 20 tonnes of solution will be purchased for the whole winter.
Capital authorities have equipped 40 trucks for snow removal of the sidewalks. Ten of them were reequipped in order to use the new type of non-skid solution.
Officials have assured that the new technology will help the mess on sidewalks to disappear.
Also, authorities have purchased 100 tons of salt and 200 of sand.
