CEC: All the polling stations run smoothly

The Central Election Commission (CEC) says all the polling stations from the country have opened and are duly running. About 90,000 voters cast their votes by 8:30 Moldova’s time.
Due to the different time zones, 37 stations from abroad out of 100 have opened by 8:00 Moldova time, in:
- Tokyo (Japan);
- Beijing (China);
- Krasnoyarsk (Russia);
- Nizhnevartovsk (Russia);
- Baku (Azerbaijan).
2.83 million voters are officially registered and are expected to vote. The CEC accredited 3,764 observers, 562 – from abroad.
The first preliminary results of the suffrage will be announced by 22:00, Moldova time.
