More opportunities for young people thant want to learn a profession. A Career Guidance Center was inaugurated in Cahul town, after half a year ago, a similar institution was opened in Chisinau. The role of the center is to help young people to find suitable profession.
Dumitru is a student in XII class. He wants to go to college in economics, but has not decided what profession to choose. He hopes that the Career Guidance Center will help him to choose an option.
"I'll find out what professions are in this sphere, what is good for me and what is not. Once I will finish the high school, I will come here for help" , said the boy.
Other young people are in the same situation as Dumitru: "Honestly, I have not decided what I want to do. I hope this center will help me. I think of the professions of doctor or pharmacist."
Career Guidance Center in Cahul town will offer free services to people of all ages.
"The center of career guidance is meant for the guidance for children, starting from the fifth grade up to the twelfth, for people looking for a job and for the unemployed who are registered at our agency" , said head of Employment Agency in Cahul, Eugenia Sarsavan.
Beneficiaries will receive training and will be able to apply their knowledge in practice.
"We intend to approach children to the labor market, by organizing a range of activities, such as the shadow method: the children will go to businesses, enterprises and will stay a day with an employee" , said Lia Sclifos, project manager reconceptualization Professional orientation and Career Counseling.
The center was opened with the support of the Austrian Development Agency.
"In this project we have invested 700,000 euros in order to serve the country. That means to help all young people to develop their careers" , said Gerhard Schaumberger, eprezentant the Austrian Embassy in Moldova.
A Career Guidance Center operates in Chisinau from spring, and the next one will be opened in Soroca.
