Four brothers from Nisporeni town have been detained by police. All individuals, aged between 20 and 30 years are being investigated for committing 20 robberies in Falesti, Ungheni and Nisporeni.
The suspects had stolen various power tools, chainsaws respectively, welders, but also birds, animals, causing a loss of 80,000 lei.
Thieves were acting at night, while the owners slept.
After searches conducted at the homes of the suspects, the police found some of the stolen goods.
The men have been detained for a period of 30 days.
If found guilty, offenders risk a fine of 650-1350 conventional units, work community service for 180 to 240 hours or imprisonment for up to 4 years.
