Another lawyer under arrest for influence peddling worth 3000 euros

Another lawyer in the capital was detained for 72 hours by NAC officers and prosecutors for influence trafficking.
He allegedly claimed to receive 3,000 euros in order to influence officers in the Ciocana Police Inspectorate to stop investigating a scam case.
If found guilty, the lawyer may be sentenced to jail of up to 6 years or a fine of up to 4,000 conventional units - equivalent to 200,000 lei.
The prosecution of this case is handled by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
