Over eight billion lei will be transferred from the state central budget to the local budgets of districts next year. The provision is found in the law of budget-tax policy for 2017.
The lion’s share will go to Chişinău municipality and the Gagauz autonomy. The least part will go to the small district of Basarabeasca.
According to the 2017 state budget, Chişinău municipality will receive 1.6 billion lei, as the Gagauz autonomy will get over 330 million lei.
Cahul district will get 295 million lei, as four million less will go the district of Ungheni.
The money is meant to cover the expenses for the education system, for adopting children and other social services.
In distributing this amount of money, the law-makers took into account the number of people living in different districts and their surface.
