A part of the former Parliament MPs (11) have already paid their fines. Another four contravention causes are still examined. The fines total value for now is of 28 000 MDL.

According to the law, if not submitting or submitting a late statement, the integrity inspector starts a wealth and personal interests control.

As a consequence, the delayed submitting and also the prior verification of 101 financial statements and personal interests for 2018 have led to setting 19 wealth controls of current and former MPs.

To note that there are differences between the statement and wealth control.

According to legal provisions, the financial statement control and personal interests consist of submitting term verification and form and content requirements observance.

While at the wealth and personal interests control, the integrity inspector verifies the data and information about the existent wealth of the controlled person and the property modifications during their mandates, public functions or public dignity. The control can be made during their mandates, public functions and public dignity during the course of three years after it's ending.

We remind that the controls were exerted under President ANI Disposition of May 21, 2019, which stipulates the financial statements and personal interests submitted by the subjects for 2018 (MPS, ministers, judges, attorneys). In the same context, were verified almost 400 judges and over 700 attorneys are also following to be verified.
