WHO praises Moldova’s success in cutting morbidity

Reducing TB incidence, an efficient immunizing program and a rising lifespan, these are but some of the achievements in healthcare in Moldova for the last 15 years, said the WHO regional director for Europe, Zsuzsanna Jakab. She attends a forum of health ministers in Chișinău. 

The official also lauds Moldova’s successes in the healthcare field, emphasizing the anti-tobacco program and the access to medicines.

Moldova’s Health Minister Ruxanda Glavan: "We propose to better fight the sexually transmissible diseases and the TB. Our goal remains to offer qualitative medical services.”

Nine Health Ministers from South-East Europe will sing a new accord at the forum, meant to implement the goals from the WHO’s 2030 strategy.
