The bill on change of Audiovisual Code aims defending the informational content and provide a European standard was registered in Parliament. The announcement was made by Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu.
The bill submitted by PDM allows only programs with reference to EU states, USA and Canada.
The initiative also provides sanctions for those who violate the rules. The decision of the Audiovisual Council can't be suspended by judges. Also, short deadlines have been set for judges to decide as quick as possible on the issue.
The project was registered with number 189 and will be discussed at the meeting of the working group.
