The food manager of the psychiatric hospital from the northern town of Bălți has been detained by anti-corruption prosecutors. The woman is suspected that she and her subaltern stole and sold food products destined to the patients.
They stole meat, dairy, cereals, eggs, margarine and detergents.
She also paid bigger salaries to her subalterns, on paper, but required amounts from them later.
The damages caused by her are to be assessed, but now she’s investigated for power abuse and misappropriation of foreign property.
Searching the psychiatric hospital and her house, the CNA squad lifted over EUR11,000, almost $2,000, MDL25,000, food products, detergents and accounting documents
She now faces six years of prison.
