Luxembourg has hosted the 11th reunion of the Group for Moldova’s European Action, convened following an initiative of the foreign ministers of Romania and France.
The reunion has been moderated by Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Meleșcanu.
Andrei Galbur, the Moldovan Foreign Minister reported on the latest developments, on the implementation of the Moldova–EU Association Agreement, the settlement of the Transnistrian conflict and the priorities in the Moldova’s future cooperation with the EU.
Commissioner Johannes Hahn has welcomed the results of the recent reunion of the Association Council between the EU and Moldova. He has remarked the positive development in trade, encouraging further efforts in reforming pivotal sectors such as judiciary, banking, rule of law, fighting corruption and media.
Hahn has assured Moldova of the EU’s political and financial support.
