Dorin Chirtoaca: Rotavirus is to blame for children's illnesses in kindergartens

Food poisoning in schools in the capital has not been registered for 25 years.

According to mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, more and more parents complain that their little ones feel bad because of food poisoning.

The mayor made the statement during a meeting with the directors of kindergartens in Chisinau.

Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca came to the defense of directors of kindergartens and said that the rotavirus illness if for blame.

"There is no case of food poisoning, it's rotavirus infection" , said the mayor Dorin Chirtoaca.

The directors of kindergartens confirmed that lately have been more cases of infection with rotavirus.

Managers of the mayor complained about low salaries.

"We are trying to improve. If we won't succeed. Please, take your phones and go to the Great National Assembly Square in the evening after work, shake your phone just like those in Bucharest. No problem" , said Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca.

In late February, more children from kindergarten in the capital have been hospitalized with abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea.
