Customs Service plans to refurbish, expand western border-crossing point

The Customs Service will repair and expand its Sculeni border-crossing point in the western district of Ungheni.

Service chief Vitalie Vrabie has made the statement today as he paid a visit to the checkpoint.

The Moldovan customs officers also consider ways of speeding up the flows through the points in discussions with Romanian counterparts.

As many as 1,900 cars and trucks cross that point daily.
