Candu on uninominal voting debate: Divergent opinions, but first round is successful

Parliament President Andrian Candu has thanked the participants in the debates on uninominal voting hosted by the Parliament today.

"There have been different opinions, the citizens had the opportunity to hear several opinions and I am glad the first debating round was a success. Others will follow," Candu said.

Andrian Candu regrets some ignored the invitation to the debates.

"I am sorry for the ones just making statements in media and then ignore these debates. It's just showing off. The task of these debates is to let the citizens make their own conclusions about the uninominal or the mixed voting.

Most citizens stand up for the uninominal voting. The debates help us find the best formula," Candu emphasized.
